Darn Pet Peeve.

I'm not quite sure where to even begin this. But I have noticed lately that some people (usually older than 30) have taken to calling people my age (23, and even younger sometimes) kids. At first, it didn't really bother me. I just shrugged it off. But, I've seen/heard it more often in the past few months. So my question is...

When did the definition of a kid extend to the age of 23??

You got me! I have no idea the answer to this question!

I like to think of myself, and others my age, as a young adult, not a kid, and not a child. Heck, even just plain ol' adult works fine for me!

Because if you throw me in the "kid" category, I get slightly confused. I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure a typical kid would not be able to do the things that adults my age have accomplished.

My List:
  • Attend and graduate college.
  • Enlist and fight in wars.
  • Vote.
  • Legally purchase alcohol.
  • Have a job that can support themselves, and sometimes even a family.
Yes, some of these don't apply to me exactly, but they do apply to people I know, some even younger than me. And there a plenty more, but I thought 5 would be a good base amount. :)

I'm not quite sure where I want to go with this, not really anywhere I guess. I just needed an outlet to vent. Because hey, I am an adult and we vent not whine like children (well, some adults do). Thank you mister blog :)
